How to Collect Credit Card Information Ahead of Your Event
- From your fundraiser dashboard, navigate to the Messaging tab in the sidebar.
- Click Create Campaign.
- Create a blank campaign.
- Create a Campaign Name that will be used internally.
- In the Recipient Group field, select Attendees Without Saved Credit Card.
- Customize which event ticket types receive the messaging campaign under Event Ticket Type. Leave blank to send to all event ticket types.
- Choose the Message Channel (SMS and Email) and hit Next.
- Write your Subject Line and Email Message, prompting attendees to log in and complete their details.
- Select your SMS Content if applicable and click Next.
- Send yourself a test email and SMS.
- To send immediately, click Send. To schedule the email for a future date and time, click Schedule for Later and set your preferred send time.
- Click Send Campaign to send immediately, or Schedule Send to send at a later time.
Pro Tip: Send out this messaging campaign two weeks before your event and one week before your event.
