How to Track Raiser's Edge Sync Status

If your organization uses our Raiser’s Edge integration, you will be able to monitor how your transactions are syncing using the Sync Status column and filter .

How to View Transaction Sync Status

Follow these steps to check the sync status of your transactions:

  1. From the Dashboard, go to Results, then All Transactions.
  2. Select a fundraiser in the top right corner to see data.
  3. Find the Sync Status column next to the Raiser’s Edge System ID column.
    1. This column will display one of the following statuses:
      • Full: The transaction has synced completely.
      • Partial: Some parts of the transaction didn’t sync, such as the gift or the event record.
      • Not Synced: The transaction hasn’t been synced yet.
      • Failed: The sync attempt failed entirely, either due to a technical error or a configuration error, and needs to be resynced by Trellis.
  4. Click the Open Filter button to show filter options.

  5. Below the Payment Status filter, you’ll find the Raiser’s Edge Sync Status filter.

  6. Choose one of the filter options.

  7. The table results will then only show the transactions that match your filter.

How to Find More Information on Synced Transactions

To learn more details on the syncs what what data was moved, you can use the Audit Log.

  1. From the Dashboard, go to Integrations then Blackbaud.
  2. Next to the Settings button, click Audit Log.
  3. This downloads a report of all sync activity across the three primary sync actions:
    1. Constituent Matching: the process of finding an existing constituent or creating a new one based on the purchaser or ticket holder information.
    2. Gift Syncing: the process of adding the gift to the constituent, using the gift sync configurations such as Campaign, Fund, Appeal, and Package.
    3. Event Module Participant: the process of adding participants to an event in Raiser's Edge using Trellis ticket holder information.
  4. If there is a particular transaction you want to check, search in the Audit Log for the checkoutID on each tab.

At this time, the audit log does not show failed transactions. If you notice transactions have failed on your fundraiser, please reach out to support@trellis.org. 

These steps will help you quickly track and manage your transaction syncs with Raiser’s Edge.

Why a Transaction Might Partially Sync or Fail to Sync

Transactions might fail to sync for a number of reasons. 

Configuration Settings:

If you notice gifts are partially syncing or failing to sync on your fundraiser, it could be due to an issue with your configurations. Check to make sure that your Campaign, Fund, Appeal, and Package configuration is valid and in a proper date range. All Campaign, Fund, Appeal, and Packages must be linked together in Raiser's Edge and have an end date that is in the future.
