How to Use Auction Item Tags/Categories

Tags let bidders filter and browse your silent auction items by category.

How to Add Tags Items

  1. Navigate to any auction item editor in your Fundraiser Builder > Auctions.

  2. In the item, click edit, locate the Tags/Categories field under the item description section.

  3. Type your desired tag and press enter to create it.

  4. You can add multiple tags to a single item.

Once added, tags appear as filterable options on the public-facing silent auction page, making it easier for bidders to explore relevant items.

Important Notes

  • Tags cannot be edited after creation. If you need a change, you’ll need to delete and recreate the tag.

  • To delete a tag, remove it from all auction items. Once no items are using a tag, it automatically disappears.

  • Live auction items do not appear in the silent auction item gallery, so there is no need to tag them.

Use tags thoughtfully to group similar items (e.g., “Food & Wine,” “Experiences,” “Art”) and improve the browsing experience for your bidders.
