Understanding Your Messaging Campaign Results

Track delivery rates, open rates, and the status of each message to understand who has received, opened, or interacted with your communications.

How to View Campaign Results

  1. Login to your Trellis account.
  2. From the left-side panel, click Messaging.
  3. Click Sent to view all previously sent messages.
  4. In the top-right corner, click the Campaign Results icon.
  5. If your campaign includes both Email and SMS, you’ll be able to view results for each type of message separately.

Email Campaign Results

At the top of your report, you’ll see a summary of your campaign's overall performance, including key metrics like:

  • Recipients: Total number of people included in the campaign.
  • Delivery Rate: The percentage of recipients who received your email.
  • Open Rate: The percentage of recipients who opened your email.

Next to each recipient's name, you'll find detailed information about their interaction status:

  • Sent: The email has been sent but not yet delivered to the recipient’s inbox.
  • Delivered: The email was successfully received by the recipient.
  • First Opening: The recipient has opened the email for the first time.
  • Known Open: The recipient has opened the email more than once.
  • Loaded by Proxy: The email may have been opened, but due to Apple Mail Privacy Policy, we can't always confirm this (depends on their settings).
  • Clicked: The recipient clicked a link in the email.
  • Soft Bounce: The email couldn’t be delivered temporarily, often due to a full inbox or a server issue. It may still be delivered later.
  • Hard Bounce / Invalid Email / Error / Blocked / Deferred / Complaint / Unsubscribed: These statuses indicate the email cannot be delivered permanently, often due to an invalid address, blocked domain, or user complaints.

SMS Campaign Results

Just like email campaigns, SMS results will show high-level metrics at the top of the report:

  • Recipients: Total number of people included in your campaign.
  • Delivered: The number of recipients who successfully received your SMS.
  • Failed: The number of recipients who couldn’t receive your SMS.
  • Pending: The number of recipients whose messages have not yet been delivered.

By regularly reviewing your campaign results, you can identify areas for improvement, refine your messaging strategy, and ensure your communications are reaching your audience effectively.
