Processing Time
  • 20K or less: 24hrs upon completion of online application
  • More than $20K: At least 8 weeks

*If you are not yet eligible, AGLC will take approximately two weeks to review your application

AGLC Fees Raffle licence, where the authorized ticket value:
  • is $20,000 or less: no charge
  • is more than $20,000 and less than $100,000: $150
  • is $100,000 or more and less than $1,000,000: $500
  • is $1,000,000 or more: $1000

Frequently Asked Questions:

 
1. Can I seed the pot?
  • Charitable organizations may be approved to seed a raffle prize with non-gaming funds or a  non-gaming donation from a sponsor. 
  • Seeded funds cannot be revoked.
2. Can I add a guaranteed amount?
  • Licensed charitable organizations may be required to guarantee raffle prizes. If  such  a  guarantee is required, the applicant must either:  
    • Submit written  documentation  confirming  that a  secondary  raffle  bank account  has  been  established  where  all  gross  raffle  revenue  will  be  deposited  until  sufficient  revenue is generated to secure all prizes;  
    • Provide evidence of sufficient  funds in a non-gaming bank account  to secure prizes;  or  
    • Submit sales receipt documenting that all prizes have been paid in full.

3. Can I add early bird draws?

  • Early bird draws are permitted as long as all ticket purchasers, not just ticket purchasers of previous raffles, are eligible for the draw. Appreciation for previous support may be shown through early or advance advertising of the raffle to ticket purchasers of previous raffles.

4. Can I allow board members, raffle ticket managers, and their immediate family members to join the draw?

  • AGLC does not have a strict rule on who from the above can't join the draw so it is up to you as the organization to decide and specify this on your rules of play.
