How to Change Your Page Header (Hero) Layout

Learn how to switch between header layouts to control how the top of your fundraiser page looks.

Understanding the Two Layouts

  • Classic Header -- a clean, simple layout that keeps the focus on your fundraiser title and key details. Great for organizations that want a polished, straightforward look.

  • Featured Graphic Header -- a layout designed to showcase your own custom graphics prominently at the top of the page. Ideal if you have branded imagery or event artwork you want front and center.

Pro Tip: If you're using the Featured Graphic Header, make sure your image is high resolution and sized appropriately for a wide banner format so it displays crisp on all screen sizes. This article goes over best practices for image quality on Trellis.

How to Change the Header Layout

From the Header Section Directly

  1. Log in to your Trellis account and click Edit on the fundraiser you want to update.
  2. In the Fundraiser Builder, locate the top header section on your page.
  3. Click the layout toggle button on the header section.
  4. Select either Classic Header or Featured Graphic Header -- your layout will update instantly.

From the Sidebar Settings

  1. In the Fundraiser Builder, open the sidebar and navigate to Page Design > Choose Layout.
  2. Select either Classic Header or Featured Graphic Header.
  3. Click Publish Changes in the top-right corner to make your updates live.
