How do I know our donor data will be secure on Trellis?

SSL

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a browser and a web server. This link ensures that all data passed between the browsers and web server remain integral and private.

All trellis pages use SSL for secure communication and data transport, and that is an important security feature.

AWS

where is my data held?

At trellis, all our data is stored on AWS servers in Montreal. We're made for Canadians, by Canadians.

how secure is data storage?

Cloud-powered security...it's a big deal.

  • Network firewalls built into Amazon VPC, and web application firewall capabilities in AWS WAF let you create private networks, and control access to your instances and applications

  • Customer-controlled encryption in transit with TLS across all services

  • Connectivity options that enable private, or dedicated, connections from your office or on-premises environment

  • Automatic encryption of all traffic on the AWS global and regional networks between AWS secured facilities

where is my data stored?

All Canadian account data is stored in Canada. trellis uses AWS cloud computing services in the Canada Region, so you'll benefit from local servers and network architecture built to meet the requirements of the most security-sensitive organizations. For more info, please see AWS' Security and Compliance section, which meets Canada's PIPEDA regulations.
