The Auctions feature allows users to create, edit, update, and delete items, with the added ability to merge two or more auction items into one. This feature is designed to streamline item management by consolidating auction items when needed.
Please note:
Items that have existing bids cannot be merged. The merge action is irreversible, so proceed with caution.
How to Merge Auction Items
Follow these steps to merge two or more auction items into one:
- From the dashboard, enter the fundraiser builder
- From the Builder Menu, select Silent and Live Auctions, then Auction Items
- Check the box next to each item you wish to merge. You must select at least two items.
- Click the Merge button in the top right corner.
- A dialogue box will appear, indicating that the merge cannot be undone. Review the items listed and confirm the merge.
- After the merge is complete, the newly created item will open the Auction Item Editor. You can further modify the item details here.
- For more information on how information gets merged, refer to the table below.
- The merged item will now appear in the Auction Items list, and the previous items will be deleted.
- Don't forget to publish your fundraiser for the changes to go live!
Please Note:
Sponsors are not merged or carried through at this time. The merged auction item will have no sponsors connected and must be manually configured.
How Fields Are Merged
When merging auction items, fields are consolidated based on specific rules:

| Listing ID | Assigns the next available listing ID. |
| Minimum/Starting Bid | Sums the minimum bids of all selected items. |
| Minimum Bidding Increment | Defaults to 1. |
| Title of Monetary Value | Uses the common title if all items share it, otherwise leaves blank. |
| Monetary Value of Item | Sums the monetary values; if some are missing values, adds what is available. |
| Item Description | Appends all descriptions with a line break between each. |
| Tags/Categories | Combines all tags from the selected items. |
| Send Tax Receipt (125%+ of value) | Checks the box if all items had it checked; otherwise, it remains unchecked. |
| Buy Now Option | Sums all "Buy Now" values; if some are missing values, adds what is available. |
| Images | Adds all images from the selected items together. |
| Email Attachment | Leaves blank. |
| Tell Donors How to Pick Up Item | Leaves blank. |

| Connected Sponsor | Leaves blank. |
