In this article, we’ll guide you through setting up the Advanced Constituent Settings for the Raiser’s Edge integration, including Spouse Relationships.

3. Use the drop-down menu to select the Advanced Constituents you want to add:
-
- Auction Bidder: This syncs contact information for individuals who bid in your silent auction but do not win and therefore don't make a purchase.
- Their bids are not synced into Raiser's Edge unless they make a purchase.
- Free Purchaser: This syncs purchasers who complete a checkout that is free, either because the purchasable price is free or they used a free promo code.
- The transaction does sync as a $0 gift into Raiser's Edge and includes all the labels (such as gift type and CFAP) configured for that purchasable type.
- Ticket Holder: This syncs contact information for individuals who are assigned an event ticket.
- There are no gifts sync to these individuals, since they did not purchase the tickets.
- Uploaded Attendee: This syncs contact information for event attendees added through the Trellis Attendee Bulk Upload.
- There are no gifts synced to these individuals.
- Auction Bidder: This syncs contact information for individuals who bid in your silent auction but do not win and therefore don't make a purchase.
Spouse Match Settings
If your organization uses Spousal Relationships in Raiser’s Edge, you can decide how gifts should be handled when a spouse makes a purchase, and if that spouse is a non-constituent.
1. Select which spouse should be the Default Spouse for Gift
-
- Always sync gifts to the Head of Household: this means that the gift will always appear on the spouse that is marked as the head of household, even if the purchaser is a non-head spouse. The spouse will always be soft credited if they are a full constituent.
- Always sync gifts to the purchaser: this means that the gift will always sync to whichever spouse is the purchaser.
2. If you select to sync gifts to the purchaser, you can also select what happens if the purchaser is a non-constituent:
-
- Convert purchaser to constituent and sync gift: this converts the non-constituent spouse into a full constituent in Raiser’s Edge so that the gift can be synced. The other spouse will be soft credited.
- Convert non-constituent spouse to a full constituent: this keeps the non-constituent spouse unchanged and syncs the gift to the full-constituent spouse.
