How to Use Pledging During a Live Event

With Pledging, event attendees will be able to instantly participate in key activities during your fundraising event, even if they aren't signed in or don't have a credit card saved.

The pledging feature is designed to make it even easier for your attendees to participate instantly in your fundraiser, even if they are not signed in to their donor account or they don't have a credit card saved.

Please Note:

Pledging is only available for Items for Sale and Fund-a-Need donations. It is not available for Silent Auctions or Canadian ERS-approved Raffles and 50/50s.

How to Pledge Using "Buy Now, Pay Later"

Event attendees will be able to use our pledging or "Buy Now, Pay Later" feature to purchase items. To start, they'll click Items, and select the "Buy Now" option, which asks them to provide a full name and email address. After the event, they will be sent a link with payment instructions to complete their purchase. 

The "Buy Now, Pay Later" and Pledging features will only work when the Event Date for your event is currently live, meaning your event is currently running. Prior to the event, purchasers will still complete a checkout like usual. 

How to Pledge During a Fund-a-Need

For a Fund-a-Need, guests will be able to commit a "pledge" to your organization, again only providing a full name and email address to make a pledge. Their name will appear in the Fund-a-Need view, and will also be included in the thermometer on your main fundraising page. Again, after the event, they will be sent a link to add their payment details. 

 


 

By using the Trellis  "Buy Now, Pay Later" and Pledging features, event attendees will be able to instantly participate in your fundraiser during the event. This will allow you to easier raise more funds, and make the donor experience even more seamless for your donors.
