What is a QR Code?
A QR Code is a barcode of sorts that directs you to a URL. The below example will take you to our Trellis website. Try it out by opening your smartphone's camera, and aiming it at the QR code, and then you will see a webpage link open up.
Can Trellis generate a QR Code?
Trellis only uses QR Codes for the check-in tool and does not generate QR codes.
How to generate a QR code for the Trellis page?
QR codes are based on the URL or page you want your donors to visit. So depending on what you want your donors to see right away thats the URL you have to grab and generate the QR code from.
The easiest tool you can use the Google Chrome's built-in QR code generator. Or you may also use QR Monkey
For example:
Generate a QR code for your donors to visit your homepage
1. Using google chrome navigate to your live home page link and click the square with an arrow pointing up and select 'Create QR Code'. You may download and print for your advertising.
2. Using QR Monkey, navigate to your live homepage link, copy the URL and paste it in QR Monkey and hit 'Create QR Code'. You may download and print for your advertising.
Generate a QR code for your donors to donate to your fundraiser
1. Go to your live homepage and click the donation or donate button, copy the URL when the donation options show and again you may either use google chrome or any QR generator and use that URL to generate a QR code.
Generate a QR code for each of your silent auction items
1. Go to your live homepage and navigate to your silent auction item, copy the URL then generate a QR code using your QR code generator
The same process applies to any part of your Trellis page you want to generate a QR code.
1. Navigate to the page you want to direct your donors to
2. Copy and paste the URL of that page into a QR code generator
