How to assign event tickets to guests

You can now assign tickets to your guests after purchase, directly from the platform! No more having to contact organizers to update guest details.

When you assign tickets, guests will receive a copy of their ticket and the platform. By providing your information ahead of time, you’ll speed up your check-in, so you can get on to enjoying your event.

How to assign tickets to guests after checkout, using My Tickets

  1. Once you’ve purchased tickets, you will need access to your Giving Account to assign tickets.

    1. If you’re already logged in to an existing Giving Account, then you will automatically have access after checkout.
    2. If you have an existing Giving Account, then we will email you a link to gain access, or you can log in in the top right corner of your screen
    3. If you don’t already have a Giving Account, then we’ll create one and email you a link to gain access.
    4. Note: For your security, Giving Account Links can only be used once and expire after 6 hours. If your link has expired, you can request a new one by clicking the expired link.
  2. Once you have access to your Giving Account, you can go to My Tickets by clicking your name in the top right corner, and selecting “My Tickets”.
  3. On the My Tickets page, you will see two tabs: the “Purchased Tickets” and “Assigned Tickets”.
  4. “Purchased Tickets” are all the tickets you purchased, regardless of who you assign them to. You will always see tickets you purchase here.
  5. “Assigned Tickets” are tickets that have been assigned to you by another purchaser.
  6. To assign tickets to guests, click the pencil icon to edit that ticket.
  7. You can now edit the first name, last name, email address, and phone number for that guest. If there are any additional questions, such as if your guest has any dietary restrictions, you can answer that here.
  8. When you change the email for a ticket, that assigns the ticket to that guest and automatically sends them their ticket and access to their own Giving Account. The guest can then update their own information, for example they can change their phone number from their home number to a cell number, or add their answers to the additional questions.

    1. Note: a guest cannot change the email address on their ticket. Email addresses are used to uniquely assign tickets to a guest, and guests cannot reassign tickets. Only the ticket purchaser can assign and reassign tickets.
    2. For more information on how to view tickets that have been assigned to you, click here
  9. Hit “Save” to confirm your updates.

You have now assigned tickets to your guest!
