Scheduling your email and SMS messages allows you to plan ahead, saving time and ensuring smooth communication during your fundraiser. In this guide, we'll walk you through how to set up message scheduling in Trellis.
Note: This feature is available only on certain Trellis plans.
Here's how to get started with Scheduled Messages
- Log in to your Trellis account.
- Click Messaging in the left-side panel.
- Follow the instructions to Set Up and Edit the Content of your Campaign.
- In the Send Campaign section, select Schedule for Later to pre-schedule your message.
Choose the Schedule Type
You have two options for scheduling your campaign:
- Custom Date and Time: This allows you to pick a specific date and time to send your message. Once set, it will remain fixed unless you manually change it in the settings before the campaign is sent.
- Relative to Fundraiser Date and Time: This option automatically adjusts your campaign's send time based on your fundraiser's schedule. It ensures your messages align with the timing of key events.
Setting Up a Relative Time Campaign
- If using the Relative option, select the fundraising driver you want to base your campaign on. (Note: You can only choose drivers that are already live on your fundraising page.)
- Choose when to send your message in relation to the selected fundraising driver.
- Click Schedule Send.
Pro Tip: You can continue to edit your email campaign up until it is sent, giving you the flexibility to make any last-minute changes.
Scheduling campaigns ensure that your messages reach donors at the perfect time, helping you stay organized and maximize engagement during your fundraiser.
