[Integration Set Up](https://help.trellis.org/raisers-edge-nxt-integration?hsLang=en#integration-set-up) # How to Set Up Your General RE NXT Integration Settings ## Learn how to enable auto-sync and control when transactions sync to RE NXT. 1. Go to the **Trellis Dashboard** 2. Select **Integrations** from the menu on the left-hand side and choose **Blackbaud** 3. Click the blue **Settings** button 4. Navigate to **General Integration Settings** 1. In this section, you can enable the Auto-sync checkouts feature. To activate the integration and sync transactions, you must turn on auto-sync. Once enabled, every transaction made on Trellis will automatically appear in your Raiser’s Edge account. 5. Next, choose when you'd like your transactions to sync in Raiser's Edge, either **Checkout Date** or **Payout Date**. 1. These settings will also impact how the GL Post Date appears in Raiser's Edge. 2. If you select Checkout Date: 1. The gift will sync at the time of checkout and the GL Post Date will be the estimated payout date. 3. If you select Payout Date: 1. The gift will sync when that transaction is paid out, and the GL Post Date will be set as the estimated date the funds will arrive in the bank. 4. Click **Save** --- ### **Frequently Asked Questions** #### **If I enable auto-sync, will previous transactions start syncing?** No, auto-sync is not retroactive. If you have previous transactions that need syncing, you can do so from the All Transactions table in the dashboard. #### **Can we choose which transactions auto-sync?** No, auto-sync will automatically sync all transactions at either time of checkout or time of payout. If you do not want certain drivers to sync, you can use Gift Sync Settings and select Do Not Sync as Gifts. #### **Can we change which date is used for the gift date?** No, the gift date will always show the date the checkout was made on Trellis. This will make things easier to reconcile transactions on Trellis with gifts in RE NXT. #### **How do we sync the Payout ID to the gift in RE NXT?** Payout ID will automatically sync to the gift once the transaction is paid out. If the payout ID did not sync, it is possible you had auto-sync disabled at the time of payout. #### **We tried to sync a transaction but received an error that the checkout is unexpectedly not paid out. What does that mean?** If you have your settings set to sync at payout date, and you try to sync the transaction before it is paid out, you will see this error. You can either wait until the transaction is paid out and it will auto-sync, or change your settings to sync at the time of checkout and manually sync it to RE NXT. #### **Can we set a fundraiser to sync at a different time than other fundraisers?** No, you can only set when gifts sync (at checkout or at payout) for your entire organization. There is no way to override this at the fundraiser level.  #### **We have auto-sync disabled in the dashboard, but enabled on the fundraiser. Why aren't gifts syncing?** If auto-sync is disabled in the dashboard but enabled on the fundraiser, and you have gifts set to sync at payout date, gifts will fail to sync.
