Once your silent auction ends, Trellis will automatically charge winning bidders and update item statuses. This article walks you through confirming successful payments, following up with unpaid bidders, and final reporting.
What Happens When the Auction Closes
All silent auctions on Trellis end automatically on the date and time you set in your builder. Once your auction closes, credit cards are automatically charged. Learn more in How Payments Are Processed for Silent Auctions (Auction Autopay)
Note:
Auto-pay processing may take 5–15 minutes, depending on how many auction items are being processed. Please wait before manually adjusting donor carts.
Ensure that all your winners’ bids were paid successfully
Once the auction ends, the system will try to charge each winner's default payment method. Some payments may fail due to bank errors or expired cards.
