How to Use a Complimentary Ticket

Complimentary tickets are ideal for sponsors, volunteers, staff, or others who need access to your event but don’t need to pay.

Trellis includes a default Complimentary Ticket with every fundraiser. These tickets count toward your inventory and appear in the Check-In Tool, but are priced at $0 and hidden from your public fundraiser page so donors won't see them.

How to Configure a Complimentary Ticket

  1. Log in to your Trellis account and open the fundraiser from your Dashboard.
  2. Click Edit Event Tickets.
  3. Locate the Complimentary Ticket and click the pencil icon to edit it.
  4. Update the Number of Tickets Available and add a helpful description.
  5. Set the price to $0 to ensure it does not impact your gross total.
  6. Under Advanced > Ticket Visibility, confirm the setting is Hidden.
  7. Click Save, then Publish Changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will complimentary tickets show up on my public fundraiser page?

Do complimentary tickets count toward my fundraiser's earnings?

As long as the ticket price is set to $0 your complimentary tickets will not contribute to your gross total.
