Customization Options for Donor Communication from Trellis

This article outlines the various ways donors receive communication from Trellis and which messages are customizable.

Purchase Confirmation Emails - Partially Customizable

Confirmation emails are sent out anytime a transaction is made on the platform. This can be both online and offline (cash, cheque, offline card) transactions. 

You can customize the text that appears on the confirmation webpage, as well as some of the text that appears in the email, from your fundraiser builder under Fundraiser Settings > Thank You Message.

Silent Auction Participation Notifications - Not Customizable

Unfortunately at this time you cannot customize the content or frequency of the notifications that are sent automatically as bidders participate in the silent auction. This includes outbid notifications and notifications when someone wins or loses items.

Bidders can control whether they receive Silent Auction email and SMS notifications from their donor account settings.

If you don't want bidders to receive notifications, you can disable these notifications by default for new bidders in your fundraiser builder, under Fundraiser Settings > Account Settings.

Automatic Event Reminder Emails - Fully Customizable

You spoke and we listened! You can now customize the automatic event reminder emails that are sent out from our platform 2 weeks and 2 days before the event.

You can enable or disable these event reminder emails from your fundraiser builder, under Events > Event Settings. They are now disabled by default.

If you are building your own event reminder email, we recommend you take advantage of our messaging system with merge tags and direct links to help gather attendee information and drive donors to various pages on your fundraiser. For organizations on our Pro Plus and Enterprise Plans, you can take advantage of our pre-drafted campaign template for event reminder emails in our Messaging System.

Automatic Silent Auction Open Notification - Fully Customizable

Like the automatic event reminder email, you can now customize the email that goes out automatically when your auction opens. You can enable or disable this email at any point from the Auction settings fundraiser builder.
