Setting up your Auction

Curious about how to start an auction on Trellis?

We don't like picking favourites, but if we had to, silent auctions may just win! They are a great way to engage your donors and raise more for your organization!

 

One of the benefits of Trellis' silent auction tool is that it's quick to set up and all you have to do is share the link afterward with your participants-to-be!

Or read these instructions to get started!

  1. Click the gear icon on the left hand side of your fundraising page to open the Settings.

  2. Press Silent and Live Auctions.

  3. Turn on the toggle to Enable Auctions.

  4. If you want your audience to see the tab, make sure that "Show Silent Auction tab to donors" is also toggled on.

  5. Press Add Sponsors --> Add Sponsor

  6. Fill in the field on the new page that opens. (For details about each field, skip to 0:49 in the video above)
  7. Once you've added your sponsors, click Edit Auction Settings to adjust the start and end date and time of your auction, who covers the fees and more. (For details about each field, skip to 1:45 in the video above)

  8. Next, you will now add your auction items by clicking Edit Auction Items, then Add Item. (For details about each field, skip to 3:01 in the video above)
  9. Lastly, you want to feature your silent auction and ensure that your donors are able to view it when it automatically starts. In order to do that edit your fundraising page and add a section called "Auction Preview".(For details on how to navigate this part, skip to 7:24 in the video above) 
  10. Don't forget to Publish Changes when you're done and happy with your work!
